The Climate Change dashboard relates to climate change indicators including changes in temperature, wet spells, dry spells, irrigation demand, potential evaporation, mean annual precipitation and streamflow. The available climate change data used is at quinary scale (i.e. sub-division of the quaternary). However, the maps are delineable into quaternary and water management area levels.

The disaster management grouping of dashboards renders overviews of the following aspects that contribute to the overall drought status:

About Infrastructure

One of the infrastuture dashboardis called Government Water Schemes. This dashboard provides an overview of the various GWS within the different Operational Clusters. The dashboard should provide an overview of where the different schemes are within specific areas in South Africa. Additionally, the dashboard will provide information on the levels of different DWS reservoirs and for those dams with operating rules will be displayed graphically on a “Levels vs Operating Rules” plot.

The other infrastructure dashboard is the Dam Safety Regulation dashboard. This dashboard’s map colour coding represent inspection status – displays the distribution of dams that have been inspected within the last 12 months period, within the previous 12 months period and before that.

The dashboard map can be rendered as per following indicators:

• Inspection Status
• Dam Size
• Hazard Category
• Sector

The purpose of the sanitation dashboards is to provide the user with and overview of the status of sanitation services over time, as well as to provide the type of services which have been provided to households. There are three indicators, namely:

• percentage of households served with what sanitation type of technology
